Her story of World War 2 Resistance was told through a TV series called "Life Stories", a MediaCorp production Other than that, she always ends the phrase: "Let us have peace," with "No more war.

what happen to her during and after world war 2

1)During World War II during the Japanese occupation of Singapore she was imprisoned for 193 days. Following the war she joined the Legislative Council in 1951, the first and only woman to have ever done so.

2)She also posed nude for two sculptures, Serene Jade and Flawless Crystal, created by the sculptress Dora Gordine. Furthermore, she was the first principal, as well as a teacher, at the Singapore School for the Blind.

Qualities That Made Her A Hero

Mrs Elizabeth Choy , she dares to risked her life supplying medicine, money and messages to British civilians interned in Singapore's Changi Jail during the Second World War.quality:(selfless)

Her other qualities of her is that she shown love to the country and did not betray as she did not give out the information to the japanese(if she would known).quality:(determination) and (loyalty)

On 10 october 1943,the POW's were interrogated by the kempeitai for being suspected of the bombing of "keppel harbour".Thus,when her turn comes in, she was bruised with canes but she kept on going on...quality :(fortitude)

HER life during the japanese occupation....torture

1)She worked as a canteen operator along with her husband at the mental hospital(mikoyo hospital)where patients from general hospital had benn moved to.

2)Both Choy and her husband were tortured arter they were caught handing food, money,medicine to the british.she was arrested on 15 november 1943 and was interogated by the kempetai ...she was put to a cell for 200 days but later gotten out.

DAYAK WOMAN - she recieved that nickname for being known for her qipaos and bangles.

Gunner choy - she recieve that nickname for undergoing training such as shooting when she join the singapore volunteer corps for a short period and earn 2'nd lieutenant by the time she left.
